Tamara Mills is founder and director of a range of emerging technology businesses in Australia and North America including Quantum Innovation Fund Management, an innovation commercialization organization, supporting the growth and development of the Australasian health innovation ecosystem. Tamara has founded, funded and led a number of companies at the intersection of the creative industries and healthcare, including Glucotek, De Motu Cordis and Fundamedtech (merging fashion, design and science to disrupt current state of care) and has a track record in both successful capital raising and driving asset growth. Tamara’s company Fundamedtech is contracted by leading venture capital groups to advise on investment decisions in the emerging health technology space and Tamara currently sits on the Expert Investment Advisory Committee of Uniseed, conducting investment screening and due diligence on prospective fund assets.

Tamara has over 15 years’ experience in the commercialization of innovative technologies across the United States, Japan, Brazil, Europe and Australia, having held executive level positions within Australia and internationally at both publicly listed and private companies. Tamara plays an active leadership role within both the national and international start-up ecosystem, working with local organizations to drive commercialisation of innovation in healthcare and internationally with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) supporting founders across diverse sectors, including fashion , consumer technology and life-sciences, to validate, build and scale commercially viable businesses globally.

Prior to returning to Australia Tamara spent six years working in North America managing and re-building Jubilant Life-Sciences Asset Portfolio leading investment screening and due diligence, in-licensing and out-licensing deals from academic institutes through to multinational pharmaceutical and device companies and directing a portfolio of select products for internal development and commercialization. Following on from leading the successful development several of assets within this portfolio Tamara successfully built the Jubilant Life-Sciences cardiovascular business from the ground up and led the development of pharmaceutical and medical technology products from concept through to FDA approval and commercialization.

Tamara has held several board positions across Australia and the US and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Tamara has a Masters of Business Administration, Masters in Health Economics, a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science and a qualification in New Ventures Leadership from MIT.
