Born of an opera singing Mother and diplomat Father, Michel spent the first part of his life travelling through Asia and Europe until the family settled in Melbourne when he was in his teens.
Michel spent the first 10 years of his working life as a Corporate Banker at NAB.
In 1995 he started LM Australasia (LM) which was a supplier of innovative seamless apparel into the Australian, European and US markets. Major customers included Zara, Victoria’s Secret, Country Road , Witchery etc.
In 2006 he launched the first innovative sustainable seamless brand cylk which was sold in Europe and the US.
In 2009 Michel was appointed to the Board of the TFIA and in November 2010 was elected as President.
In 2010, he registered an international patent on an engineered seamless compression garment that assists with the recovery and prevention of injury. It is the only garment of its kind.
Michel is a fellow of the CEO Institute of Australia and is an expert advisor for AusIndustry on matters relating to Textile Clothing and Footwear.
He sits on 3 advisory boards of start-ups is very passionate about mentoring and supporting Australian talent.
He is also passionate about Rugby, wine and eclectic music.
