Joining this year’s panel of experts is Harper’s BAZAAR Editor in Chief, Kellie Hush and renowned designers Elizabeth Renkert of We Are Kindred, Jonathan Ward and Akira Isogawa.
- We Are Kindred established in 2013, draws on 30 years of collective experience in the fashion industry across magazine editing, design, buying and development.

A fireside panel discussion between the designers will look into the future of the industry and delve into the impact that technology is having on fashion authenticity and culture. Circular fashion versus fast fashion, the new face of retail, and identity and influence in fashion, will also be explored.
CEA’s Fashion Development Manager, Thuy Nguyen, says she’s looking forward to seeing this year’s Fashion360 Showcase come to life in a spectacular culmination.
“Fashion360 was created to support early stage and emerging fashion designers who realised the importance of building a successful label based on a strong business acumen. Being Australia’s only fashion accelerator program, Fashion360 offers designers a rare opportunity to engage with the best mentors, globally”.
“There aren’t many opportunities for a fashion designer to go through an accelerator-style program, let alone experience their own showcase and live business pitch”.
“This Showcase will demonstrate the extraordinary extent of our designer’s creative flare, and the level of growth they’ve experienced across the facets of their business”, says Ms Nguyen.
Headlining the evening are four of Australia’s emerging designers:
Ivy and Max are illustrators by trade and draw inspiration from bright colours and geometric shapes. Their creations are ‘bold, colourful and eclectic’, with a touch of childlike wonder.
A Lucy-Belle creation focuses on exquisite natural fabrics and exclusive textile designs, embodied with impeccable attention to detail. Each design is crafted to a high-quality finish ensuring characteristics are fused perfectly together to create a distinctive look.
A range that consists of vibrant, comfortable performance-integrated clothing and accessories targeted at the curvy mature women wishing to maintain confidence whilst in motion.
Heshanie is the designer behind Ileana, a label that aspires to translate the beauty of cultures by creating a link between the east and the west. Ileana does this by fusing traditional organic techniques with modern elements reflective of western society.
“I’m extremely proud of what these talented designers have achieved and know that their futures are going to be incredibly bright under the success of their labels. This event is truly a celebration of creativity and business for the rising stars of our Australian fashion industry”, says Ms Nguyen.
