Metaverse Makeovers is a wearable tech startup specialising in augmented reality. Their first product, Metaverse Nails, is a wearable fashion nail “appcessory” that interacts with the Metaverse mobile app to generate unique interactive 3D holograms. Users scan their nails using the app technology and then choose from various 3D holographic images to place on top of them. The virtual designs can also be shared through social networks.
CEA invested in Metaverse Makeovers in December 2014 along with Melbourne Angels. The wearable tech and augmented reality space is significant, particularly in Asia, and Metaverse is uniquely positioned to capitalise on this opportunity. The total addressable market in China is 93 million young women. With help from CEA Metaverse Makeovers will receive invaluable guidance in navigating the unique challenges of bringing the wearable technology to this rapidly growing emerging market.
