Mr Hamish Turner O.A.M. has been serving since 2014 as Director and Specialist Adviser for LCatterton Asia, previously LCapital Asia-LVMH, the largest Pan-Asian consumer focused private equity group of its type.
Mr Turner was awarded the Order of Australia Medal – O.A.M. in June 2015 for his services to Tourism, Business, Agriculture and Charitable Organizations. Mr Turner is currently a Board Member and Advisor to various charitable and event based entities including, Bestest for Kids and the World Polo Championships 2017 – Sydney, Australia.
Mr Turner served as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Australia’s iconic bush outfitter, R.M. Williams. Mr Turner commenced with R.M.Williams in 2000 and over the 14 years he was with the company, the business developed to over 60 Retail locations, 750 Wholesale accounts and a global distribution network to more than 15 countries. The business employed over 800 staff and is considered today one of Australia’s most recognizable trademarks.
Mr Turner has been actively involved in the Australian tourism industry over more than 25 years and was a Director of the Tourism and Transport Forum (TTF) from 2005 to 2006 and Deputy Chairman of Tourism and Transport Forum (TTF) from 2006 to 2011. In 2011, Mr Turner held the position of Chairman of Advocacy Services Australia Limited, the Governing Body of Tourism and Transport Forum and Infrastructure Partnerships Australia (IPA). TTF is a national member-funded CEO forum, advocating the public policy interests of the 200 most prestigious corporations and institutions in Australian Tourism, Transport, Aviation and Investment sector.
