Ben Sharp


Ben Sharp (Sharpie), has over 15 years experience in building businesses from the ground up, with a focus on setting up for long term commercial success. Sharpie has a passion for creating a vision and high performance culture inside a business, helping and attract, retain and develop talent.

Sharpie’s sales career started at Yahoo! Australia & NZ in 2001, where he was responsible for developing and driving profitable relationships with some of Australia’s largest ad agencies and marketers. In 2007, he was the co-founder of Allure Media, an Australian digital publisher that owns and publishes local versions of Business Insider, Gizmodo, Lifehacker and the Sugar Network. This business was sold to Fairfax in 2012. In 2013, Sharpie launched AdRoll into the APAC region as the local MD, and successfully built this business into one of the leaders and most influential members of the AdTech ecosystem.

Outside of his ‘day job’, Sharpie loves the side hustle. An active seed and angel investor, he has a growing portfolio of startups and founders that he helps and mentors. These include:
