Legal Workshop

When you’re juggling the challenges of getting a startup off the ground, corporate structuring may be in the too-hard-basket or not seem like a top priority.

We understand this so let us give you a few tips on the absolute “musts” from a corporate perspective when you are starting out, and what to watch for as your startup progresses.

This way you can make more informed decisions from an early point which may save you from headaches down the track!

In this session, Michelle Eastwell & Jessica Dale will discuss:

Sole trader (with an ABN), trust, partnership or company?

>Costs involved

>Personal or corporate liability

>How are profits taxed and distributed?

What taxes do I need to register for and when do I register for them?

>GST

>PAYG

If I have registered a company, what are my ongoing obligations?
